Our client is a successful resort group based on the Gold Coast. With exclusive luxury properties both locally and interstate, they are leading the way in an ultra-competitive market.Due to further growth, they are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the group in a full time opportunity to grow their client base across individual and group bookings.Reporting to the General Manager, your role will include working with leads from previous stays as well as approaching clubs, groups and corporate clients to increase awareness of the property portfolio to become the group of choice to use for their next stay. You will also get the opportunity to travel to industry trade shows and to other properties within the group to become familiar with their properties and the team.What we are looking for is someone from the accommodation sector that has a very good level of sales skills, understands the market and is target driven.  An outline of some of your duties:Following inbound leads and enquiries and converting salesResearching new leads and also re-engaging past clientsAssisting with the development and implementation of sales plansSending quotes and information packages and writing proposalsAccount management of clientsEmail marketing, monthly newsletters, email updatesTravel between properties and head officeAttending networking events and trade showsRequirements for the role include:Prior experience within the accommodation / MICE sectorProven track record in sales and new business developmentThe ability to create and present proposalsStrong customer service skills and a passion for the industryThe drive and confidence to call prospects Excellent spelling and grammatical skills to proof workMust have a current driver's licenceAn ability to travel to trade shows and conferences (approx. 5 per year)On offer is a competitive base salary, a well-defined bonus structure with real earning potential, and the opportunity to be a part of a successful group with a team that loves what they do. Due to further growth, they are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the group in a full time opportunity to grow their client base across individual and group bookings.
