Our client based in south-east QLD is expanding rapidly with new products coming to market and a solid growth forecast. We are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team based from the Sunshine Coast head office to service the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast regions in a full time salaried role. Reporting to and working closely with the State Sales Manager, your role will be focused on increasing the company's market share for the supply of electricity and electricity services within new builds and developments of residential and commercial strata complexes as well as detached residential dwellings.Ideally, the role will suit someone that has sold directly to and built relationships with builders and developers, electrical engineers and electricians, and architects and drafters. You will be responsible for building relationships and seeking further opportunities with current clients as well as developing new business opportunities with prospects through referrals and inbound leads. The role will involve regular local travel and with the head office located north of Brisbane, we are seeking a BDM that can function autonomously from a home office and on the road (laptop, car allowance and phone included in package). We are looking for a skilled BDM that has confidence in their approach, enjoys the hunt and is strategic in securing new clients, building their business and renewing current clients to create recurring revenue. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:Demonstrated experience as a Business Development Manager / Sales Executive / Account ManagerExperience selling to and managing relationships with key stakeholders and clientsA strong networker willing to attend events, and seeking out new groups and memberships to enhance brand awareness in the communityA self-starter with a strategic approach to researching, generating leads, cold-calling, asking for referrals and following sales processesThe demonstrated ability in past employment to meet/exceed KPI's, grow sales and your client baseExcellent client service, account management, communication and negotiation skillsGood administrative skills to create quotes and create presentations and proposalsExperience with MS Word, Excel, email and CRM softwareOn offer is a competitive remuneration package including a great base salary with an attractive commission structure, a phone, laptop and car allowance for the successful applicant.
