We are seeking a Management Accountant for our client who is experiencing strong growth within their sector. Based in the southern Gold Coast region, the company is highly reputable, sales and service-focused and delivers innovative products to their clientele. Reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to the CFO, the primary focus of your role will be to lead a small accounts team, deliver streamlined and robust accounting processes and procedures, and work with the management team to meet operational goals. The role will be highly suited to a person with a strong commercial accounting background, effective leadership skills and enjoys contributing to the success of an organisation and being rewarded for it.Your role will cover a range of responsibilities including:Managing a small and busy team (2 staff) in the timely delivery of high volume accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functionsManagement reporting, forecasting and cash flow reports with strategic inputPreparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, payroll tax, BAS, WorkCover processing and lodgementAssisting with external audits and managing complianceAccounts and business process reviewsThe ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:Qualified and experienced Accountant with similar work experienceHolding or studying towards a CPA/CA would be highly regardedA good business acumen with an excellent understanding of the finance functionStrong reporting skills to deliver detailed financial management reports and assist in forecasting for growthProven experience in enterprise level finance / ERP packages and the Microsoft Office suiteStrong leadership ability and an excellent motivator and trainer of staff, with strong interpersonal and people management skillsHighly effective planning and organisational skillsOn offer is a very competitive salary package and the opportunity to be part of a strong, growing company with a committed and driven team.Your application will be treated in strictest confidence.
