Our client is a successful group based on the Gold Coast dealing within the precious metals sector. Due to further growth, they are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the group in a full time opportunity. The successful candidate can either be Gold Coast or Melbourne based and the role will include regular travel throughout Australia and Singapore.Working closely with the Directors of both companies and the respective sales teams, your role will focus on delivering successful sales and marketing strategies and developing warm leads for the sales teams to work with on various investment platforms offered by the group. A key KPI for the role will be leads developed and successfully converting these leads into a transaction with the group. This KPI will be the primary measure of performance, an incentive package will be developed for the successful candidate after the first 6 months of employment.Your focus will be to develop relationships with investors and acquire business leads in the investment, wealth management, and alternate investment community including banking, high-net-worth individuals and family offices. The quality and conversion of these sales leads into transactions with the group are essential. The candidate is expected to raise the profile of the group amongst its target clients and demonstrate the group’s ability to service any potential investor with their offerings.The ideal applicant will be self-directed, with a proven track record in new business development. It would be highly preferable to have an existing network of potential clients and contacts in the banking / finance / wealth management industries.Requirements for the role include:Proven track record in sales and new business developmentExperience in the banking or wealth management sectors is a plus but not essentialProven understanding of sales and marketing strategies, tactics to target specific markets, build pipelines and sales conversionsAbility to tie in measurable sales and marketing campaigns and strategies with the bespoke research being produced by experts that assist the groupStrong account and relationship management skillsFamiliarity with Salesforce or similar CRM’s would be idealA high achiever with the drive and confidence to be target focused and work independentlyAn ability to travel domestically and internationallyOn offer is a very competitive base salary, a well-defined bonus structure with real earning potential.
