Our client is a successful supplier to the construction industry based in Molendinar. They have an immediate opening in their store / dispatch area for an experienced storeperson to join their team.
Working full time Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm you will be responsible for warehouse / stores operations including:
- Receipting and data entry of stock into the system
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Picking and packing of orders
- Repacking and labelling of stock
- Quality control, stocktakes and ordering
- Coordinating freight and liaising with internal and external customers
- Use of a forklift and some local delivery driving
We are seeking a person that can work autonomously, has a strong team focus, is willing and adaptable to jump in and help in other areas when needed and can communicate effectively.
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Must have previous stores / warehouse experience, especially in a smaller business that required flexibility to help others
- A high attention to detail in your work, a focus on safety
- Good computer and mathematical skills
- Focused on providing a high standard of customer service
- Physically fit to undertake this type of work (a medical will be undertaken)
- Good communication skills to interact with freight, customers and staff
- High organisational and time management skills with the ability to follow procedures
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions
- A current driver's licence
- LF Forklift licence is essential
