We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator for a great Gold Coast based career opportunity.You will join and lead a skilled team and manage the day-to-day operation of their system, servers and platform. You will be responsible for enabling infrastructure to be deployed and changed as well as supporting and driving the effective functioning of the software for the company. You will manage cloud, dedicated servers, and virtual private server platforms as well as acting as a 3rd-level escalation point to investigate and resolve complex technical issues across their infrastructure.Day to day functions will include:Systems security monitoring, patching and testingInfrastructure management and enabling changes to existing infrastructure to be tracked, managed and approvedMaintaining ongoing technical documentationMaintain metric based real time dashboardsWorking on containers using KubernetesDesigning, building and supporting business critical applications on various platformsCollaboration with the development team in the creation of data driven monitoring tools to collect metrics to enable a proactive approach to infrastructure issues Ensuring CI/CD pipeline is running smoothlyTechnical Skills Required:Linux systems administration (RedHat/CentOS)Experience with Kubernetes (or similar) and Docker essentialAWS / Google Cloud Platform experience.Security scanning and automationExperience with serverless functionsGlusterFS or other distributed file server experienceExperience with load balancing technology such as HAProxy would be idealJenkins CI or equivalent CI/CD experienceExposure to automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform would be idealit would be an advantage to have Python/Bash Scripting or relevant coding experience (e.g. PHP or Golang)In addition to this, we are seeking a person that loves interacting with the team, enjoys a challenge, communicates well and wants to be in a winning team that is pushing out a high quality global product.
