Our client is forging ahead within their industry with solid products and more growth predicted this coming financial year. Due to this growth, they are now seeking a new appointment for a dedicated Sales representative to join the company in a full time salaried role. The role also has career path opportunities as you progress in the company.Reporting to and working closely with the Director, your role will be responsible for building relationships and seeking further opportunities with current clients as well as developing new business opportunities in the market from prospecting. The role will involve some regular travel nationally (fully funded) to broaden the company's reach in the market. We are looking for a skilled Sales Representative that has confidence in their approach, enjoys the hunt and is strategic in securing new clients and building their business. There is a current database to work with as well as a good list of leads and a lot of potential to tap into their target market and build on sales opportunities.The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:Demonstrated experience as a business development manager / sales executive / account managerIt would be beneficial to have prior experience within the construction, engineering, manufacturing or water/wastewater industries with technical product salesExperience in selling to and building relationships with Council, utilities or communications clients would be idealA self-starter with a strategic approach to researching, generating leads, cold-calling, asking for referrals and following sales processesThe demonstrated ability in past employment to meet/exceed KPI's, grow sales and your client baseExcellent client service, account management, communication and negotiation skillsGood administrative skills to create quotes/invoices and experience with MS Word, Excel, email and CRM softwareAble to travel nationally on a regular basis to meet local, regional and interstate clients and attend trade showsOn offer is a competitive remuneration package including a great base salary with an attractive bonus structure, a phone, laptop and maintained vehicle (van) for the successful applicant.
