With a constantly expanding team and client base they are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong infrastructure skills to join the team in a full time opportunity. Reporting to the Cloud Operations Manager, this role is responsible for collaboration with software developers, system operators and other IT staff members to handle system deployments and responsible for the maintenance and administration of our cloud infrastructure and systems.Functions of your role will include:Establishing and maintaining system health and performance through proactive maintenance and patching activities across server operating systems, appliances and hypervisorsAnalysing current technology utilised within the company and developing steps and processes to improve and expand upon themWorking closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficientlyWorking alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiativesDeploying updates and fixesInvestigating and resolving technical issuesDeveloping scripts to automate processesDesigning procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceBuilding tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experienceTechnical Skills Required:Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar roleA strong understanding of AWS, VMware, CI/CD, DevOps, Linux, Docker and KubernetesGood scripting and automation skillsExperience with automated configuration management tools such as Ansible is desiredExperience working with MySQL or MariaDB is desiredAbility to analyse and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issuesPersonal qualities include:Extremely high attention to detailTeam focused personalityAn advocate for the best use of automationStrong problem solver that is also practical, efficient and data drivenPassion for what you do and a thirst for knowledge and continual learningExcellent communication skillsAbility to communicate at a high levelAdaptable to new processes and ideas As the company is expanding, there will be further growth and career opportunities for you. On offer is a competitive salary package for the right applicant. 90000 AUD Australia - QLD Gold Coast Bundall 4217
